I fell in love with this version of Phantom by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopek when we had a big success with it at Paper Mill. I wanted to bring it to Korea and I got Maury to agree to some changes. He wrote 5 new songs and we enlarged the second act ballet to feature the prima ballerina of Korea.
I wanted the production to be the best of opera, musical theatre and ballet – and it is. We have the best performers in all those fields all together on one stage at the same time. The show will celebrates its 10th anniversary next year. It’s a grand experience.
