My parents came to see all the shows at Paper Mill – they were subscribers – and one day I asked my father what was his favorite of all the shows? My father never graduated high school, he was a rigger mechanic and a jock. Out of over 100 shows his favorite was The Secret Garden – fathers and children.  Our major critic gave the show a great review but with the caveat: ladies leave your husbands home to watch football.  He got many angry letters from men and women for that comment. It was a moving show for one and all.
