This epic musical will celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary in Korea (2024) EMK Productions.
It has also played two huge seasons all over Japan for Toho productions.
It all started with this refrigerator magnet with Marie staring at me for many years. I’ve had a huge fascination with this tragic and misunderstood queen. I desperately wanted to set the record straight and bring her real story to life. So when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped!
The story is quite captivating as we follow parallel lives of two women with the same initials – MA – Marie Antionette and Margrid Arnaud. How their lives intertwine leads to a conclusion that is probably the most moving of any show I’ve ever directed. I grew profoundly both artistically and personally during MA’s journey.
Both productions star the greatest talent in each country. The singing and acting are phenomenal. And the producers & designers have pulled out all the stops. It is a magnificant experience. Hopefully it will go on for another 10 years.
